ITZTLI
Also known as ITZLI

Obsidian God of Sacrifice

As the god in charge of the sacred stone knives used for ritual slaying, he's short and to the point.

But we must point out that Aztec sacrificial knives were not the grim instruments of torture you might imagine. In fact they were adorned with cute little faces with wide staring eyes.

This must have been the Aztec equivalent of a dentist's drill covered in Micky Mouse stickers. "Open wide Johnny, this won't hurt a bit..."

As Second Lord of the Night, ITZTLI is an aspect of the fearsome TEZCATLIPOCA.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Itztli graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Itztli movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Itztli statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Itztli. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
