VAIZGANTAS

Baltic Hemp God

Also known as VAIŽGANTAS

God of Hemp and Flax

These are the plants valued for their fibers, which are highly pliable yet strong enough to make ropes and cords and rough textiles. In fact hemp is one of the most versatile plants going — and you can even eat it.

What we don’t know is if this God had strong moral fiber, because hemp is also associated with cannabis. He may have had a joint round the corner and be a God with a spliff personality.
