DECHTIRE

Celtic Unknown Goddess

Also known as Dechtiré

Flighty mother of Cuchulainn

She is the daughter of MAGA and Cathbad, a Druid. At her wedding to someone of absolutely no Godly status, she happened to swallow a fly whilst swigging at the feast and fell asleep. She dreamed that LUGH told her to become his chick — along with fifty of her kinswomen — and fly to him as a flock of birds. So she did.

She did not come back until three years later, accompanied by a three-year-old child who was called CUCHULAINN. The things that happen at weddings.
