TAILTU

Earth Goddess and foster mother of [LUGH].

She died of overwork after clearing a forest on her own and LUGH decided there should be a festival in her honor on the 1st of August. This festival became known as Lughnasadh, and its symbol was the shamrock.

In retrospect, Lughnasadh seems more to commemorate himself as it is a day dedicated to sporting competitions.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Tailtu graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Tailtu movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Tailtu statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Tailtu. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
