St ANDREW

Christian Saint

Also known as ANDREW-THE-APOSTLE

Patron Saint of Scotland, Russia and Greece, also Fishermen

The First Disciple and brother of St PETER.

He went evangelizing in far-flung places and was possibly martyred at Patrae on an X-shaped cross of his own choosing. His relics were eventually transported to Scotland by St REGULUS.

What the remains of St Andrew were doing in Scotland we have no idea, but he does have a Golf Course named after him.
