St BENEDICT

Christian Saint

Also known as BENEDICT-THE-GREAT, BENEDICT-OF-NURSIA

Patron Saint of Europe, Schoolboys and Male Students. Also People who've been Poisoned

Brother of St SCHOLASTICA and Founder of the Benedictines.

He started out as a hermit who worked out a splendid method of quelling lust: rolling around naked in thorns and brambles.

He was then able to concentrate on producing a liqueur like Benedictine which must have made things a lot more bearable.
