St CHARBEL-MAKHLOUF

Christian Saint

Also known as CHARBEL-MARKLOUF

Lebanese Hermit with Fortean tendencies

He joined the Maronite Order but the monks there really wanted him to go back home or somewhere else.

After 16 years at a monastery in Annaya he was given permission to go and be a hermit a mile away.

He died of a stroke whilst celebrating the Eucharist, so someone must have been spying on him.

Witnesses reported a manifestation of bright shiny lights hovering around his grave. These UFO sightings prompted the opening of his coffin in the presence of doctors.

They were relieved to discover that all was holy and well inside — in fact he had never looked better. His tomb is now a place of pilgrimage and veneration with many healings attributed to his miraculous state.
