Patron Saint of Catechists and Catechumens, Teaching and Learning, plus Stomach Aches
A man of noble blood, he became Archbishop of Milan.
He is perhaps best known for walking barefoot around the city of Milan during a terrible pestilence praying to be taken as a sacrifice on behalf of this people. Miraculously neither he nor his twenty-eight followers caught anything horrible in the way of foot disease and the people were more or less spared.
