St CLARE
Also known as CLARE-OF-ASSISI

Patron Saint of Telephones, Television and Telecommunications, also Cell Phones, Satellite Broadcasts and... Eye Disorders

One of the first followers of St FRANCIS-OF-ASSISI, she was the founder of the Poor Clares, an order of nuns existing only on alms. They crop up rather a lot in our Saints list so you should pay attention.

When she became bedridden, she claimed she could see and hear mass as if she was there.

This amazing occurrence was picked up by the Pope in 1958, who made her the Patron Saint of Television and other miraculous communication-at-a-distance devices.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest St Clare graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, St Clare movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about St Clare statues, sculptures or carved figurines of St Clare. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
