St ELIZABETH

Christian Saint

Mother of John the Baptist

One of the very first saints — and one of the lucky few to actually get a mention in the Bible — she was mom of JOHN-THE-BAPTIST, and the wife of ZECHARIAH.

She came to motherhood at an advanced age after a pronouncement by an angel. Read all about it in the New Testament.
