Founder of The Sisters of Notre Dame.

She suffered paralysis at the age of 22 through the shock of seeing her father attacked. She preached from her bed until the French Revolution when she became a fugitive and sheltered other fugitive priests.

By 1803 or thereabouts she was miraculously restored to health and in her remaining years opened nineteen schools.
