1st Century author of the third Gospel and its sequel The Acts of the Apostles.
Somewhat too late on the scene to encounter JESUS himself, he became the companion of St PAUL who filled him in on the Godly goings-on.
According to tradition, LUKE was a doctor, and thus educated, literate and very interested in miraculous healings. If this is true then he can be regarded as an expert witness.
He must have done a bit of sketching too as he is Patron of Artists.
