St LUKE-THE-YOUNGER

Christian Saint

Also known as LUKE-THAUMATURGUS, LUKE-THE-WONDER-WORKER

Healing Hermit sent from pillar to post.

As a youngster he tended to give things away to the poor — much to his parent’s annoyance. He then ran off to be a hermit, but was found by soldiers who took him to be a runaway slave.

They soon realized he was just a silly kid and sent him back home to his parents in Greece, causing them great humiliation.

He was soon off again and tried to join a monastery in Athens, but his superior had a vision that his mummy needed him and he was packed off home again.

At 18 he was off yet again, to join a Hermitage on Mount Joannitsa near Corinth. They let him stay — free at last to work his wonders. We are left wondering what they were. We know more about Luke Skywalker.
