St MATTHEW

Christian Saint

Also known as MATTHEW-THE-APOSTLE

Patron Saint of Accountants, Book Keepers, Tax Collectors, Financial Advisors and Bankers

Tax collector turned disciple, and one of the Gospel writers — unless he employed a ghost.

He is believed to have gone evangelizing in Ethiopia where he got himself martyred. There was no ghost writer around for his obituary.

He’s now the Patron Saint of Accountants, Bankers and Financial Folk. We hope he charges them interest and sends out final demands.
