St. THEODORE OF STUDITES
Christian Saint
Icon-hating Abbot of Constantinople
He was a Byzantine Abbot at the Monastery of Saint John the Forerunner at Stoudios in what is now Istanbul.
He is best known for being a fervant opponent of Iconoclasm. As you probably know, Iconoclasm is the veneration of religious objects and has nothing to do with emojis, UI or clicking buttons.
Iconoclasm is firmly rejected in the Bible as it ultimately leads to the idolization of idols and the worship of statues, images, and sheep.
Anyone tempted to worship photographs of a statue of a sheep is treading dangerously close to the Devil’s path.
