Bishop and Chancellor of Oxford in England.
He supported the Barons' rights against Henry III. They made peace and he became Chancellor of England before his Bishopric.
His last quarrel was with the Archbishop of Canterbury, and he set off in a huff to seek the Pope's support but died whilst in Rome.
