St ZACHARIAS
Also known as ZACHARY-POPE

Pope. He opposed Iconoclasm, but who didn't?

He also opposed the slave trade, and actually bought vast numbers of slaves in order to free them. Or at least to sell them to right-thinking Christians instead of those nasty African heathens. Presumably he thought that if we have to have slaves, they may as well be Christian ones.

He supported the missionary missions of St BONIFACE-OF-MAINZ and did many goodly things, including translating The Dialogues of Pope GREGORY-I into Greek.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest St Zacharias graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, St Zacharias movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about St Zacharias statues, sculptures or carved figurines of St Zacharias. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
