Egyptian Childbirth Goddess

Also known as RERET-WERET

Not a porcine Miss Piggy but one of hippopotamine proportions

The name means ‘sow’ — she is an alternate form of TAWERET, she is not just there as a curiosity — she has charge of her very own constellation of Draco and has imperishable circumpolar stars to revolve around her — one of which is the ancient pole star Thuban.

This sometime give rise to the use of her full name of Reret-Weret which means ‘The Great Sow’. She would certainly not take kindly to ‘Miss Hippo’.
