AMITABHA

Indian Heavenly God

Buddha in Western Paradise mode

This is BUDDHA when he is being God in his Western Paradise. There he sits on a lotus flower throne and welcomes visitors, especially if they have come to repent their sins.

AVALOKITESVARA attends him, and if you are Chinese you can call him Emituofo, and her GUAN-YIN or one of the variations. Known in Tibet as AMITAYUS.
