ARDRA

Hindu Bad Luck Goddess

Celestial Goddess of Moist Misfortune

Just call her Betelgeuse. She is one of the Nakshatras, astro-daughters of Daksha married to Chandra the moon.

If you want to see her, this is easily done — just look out for the bright reddish lady in the constellation of Orion.

However, we don’t recommend you draw much attention to yourself as she is not a friendly goddess. Her name means ‘the Moist One’ and she is notorious for bringing showers of demoralizing rain.
