KINNARA

Hindu Pleasure Spirits

All-dancing, all-singing musical spirit creatures

These half-horse, half-human critters are like centaurs but with rather more elaborate cosmetics.

They come from Kubera’s own personal Heaven. They only drawback is that they all have horses heads. So lots of hoofing and whinnying.

These gender-fluid beasties seem to live a life of simple pleasure — hugging themselves, playing the lute and telling passers-by how wonderful their lives are.

Meanwhile in Thailand they are mostly female and are known as the Kinnari.
