SAPTARISHIS
Also known as SAPTA-RISHIS

The Seven Seers

These are seven extra-special RISHIS — divinely-inspired writers of spiritual truths.

Members of this exclusive group include DAKSHA and GAUTAMA-MAHARISHI, but membership varies depending on which set of trillion billion gazillion eons you are living in. Unfortunately, we have lost count.

However we can give you a sample cast list. In order of sageness we have ATRI, ANGIRAS, BRIGHU, KRATU, PULAHA, PULASTYA and VASHISHTHA.

The SAPTARISHIS take pride of place in the night sky as the Big Dipper in Ursa Major, which in Hinduism is known simply as Saptarishi — 'The Seven Sages'.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Saptarishis graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Saptarishis movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Saptarishis statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Saptarishis. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
