SKANDA
Also known as KARTTIREYA

Hindu War God.

If two heads are better than one, this God is a bit of a Godhead because he has about a dozen.

He also clutches a spear and rides into battle on a peacock at the head of whichever army he is currently supporting. The Peacock of War? How utterly terrifying.

His parents are SHIVA and PARVATI. What on earth were they thinking?

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Skanda graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Skanda movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Skanda statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Skanda. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
