DAINICHI

Japanese Supreme God

Also known as DAINICHI-NYORAI

Japanese subtitled version of the Buddha Vairocana

Incomprehensively wise, this Japanese incarnation of VAIROCANA holds his left index finger, wears a crown (sometimes with a dog’s head in it) and meditates. What can he be thinking? He is the supreme Buddha of the Shingon Buddhist sect.

GodNote: Sorry this Dainichi article is a bit short. We have sent our Data Dwarves off to find more nuggets of information. Stay tuned.
