KUNITOKOTACHI

Shinto Creator God

Also known as Kuni-Toko-Tachi, Kuninotokotachi, Kunitokotachi-No-Kami

Primordial and primeval Creator

He emerged from the chaos of the primordial proto-Earth just before it went really chaotic.

To help tidy it all up, he traveled around planting trees and human beings. Everywhere he went, he was adored by his creations.

Then along came the creator husband and wife team Izanagi and Izanami. He gave them lots of advice, guided them to a lovely place to start creating and then retired to Mount Fuji to let them get on with it.

Now he is the biggy god of Fuji-san. Strangely, the Fuji mountain seems to be cluttered with rival deities. But he is the one in charge. He was there first.
