Space God of Military Prognostications

He is the planet Venus, known to the Maya as the Big Eye in space. They kept careful track of his position – just as he presumably kept track of theirs.

Nohoch Ich was used more for divining than as a divinity — particularly when working out the best times to wage war. Venus was a very important symbol to the Maya and many of their military operations were timed to coincide with auspicious planetary movements. So basically the Maya invented Star Wars – not to mention the Death Star.

As opposed to some cultures, the Maya knew Venus was both the Morning and Evening Star. That must have helped a lot with their calculations.
