ASHIMA

A God of the Hamathites mentioned in 2Kings 17:30 of the Old Testament.

Not much is known about him. Tradition has it that he's a hairless Goat God of Woods and Shepherds, which seems to be pandering towards PAN.

Many attempts have been made to identify him with other Gods of the region. The most plausible theory states that he's a local River God named after the river Ashmaya. But no-one really knows and, after all this time, poor old ASHIMA is well and truly buried in obscurity.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Ashima graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Ashima movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Ashima statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Ashima. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
