A very big snake who lived in space
He saw the Earth being created and went to take a look.
Chacopa and Chacomat, the construction engineers in charge, realized there was altogether too much of him. He was roaming around the building site flattening all their good work. So they hastily constructed an enormous brushwood enclosure for him to coil up in.
It took three days to get all of him inside. By this time humans had begun to panic, and set fire to the enclosure. As it blazed away, the snake’s blood boiled, turned to steam and caused a mighty explosion. He really blew apart. There are now bits of him in all subsequent creation.
