CONSUALIA

Roman religious festival

Also known as Consuales Ludi

Harvest festival in honor of Consus

God of Grain Storage Consus has two festivals, one on August 21st and the other at December 15th. They are in association with Ops.

These are very lively affairs with the best of live entertainment, chariot racing, horse racing, dancing, circuses and comic races with donkeys. The best in red-hot Roman rhythms and not a nightclub in sight.

On these special occasions horses were decorated with flowers and given the day off.
