FAMES

Roman Starvation Goddess

Goddess of Hunger and Starvation

According to Virgil she lives underground huddled next to the Personification of Poverty.

Ever-hungry, always weak and empty, Fames is unable to provide spiritual nourishment. In fact she is probably in need of some herself. Donations welcome.

She has absolutely no connection with the famous Fama. Her name gives us the word ‘famine’, of course.
