NYMPHS(2)

Roman Nature Spirit

Frolicking Roman nature spirits

These are the lovely ladies of nature who live inside trees and rivers. They tend to wear very little and enjoy a good frolic.

The Greeks perfected them, catalogued them, and enjoyed them tremendously. When the Romans got wind of this they took them over with hardly a change.

So for further info — and our comprehensive guide for nymph-spotters — see our entry on the Greek NYMPHS.
