JARILO
Also known as YARILO, ERILO, GEROVIT, JAROVIT

Handsome young God of Spring Fertility

A bright, nature-loving son of top Thunder God PERUN, he was godnapped and taken to the Underworld by VELES. You can guess what happened next — dire winter engulfed the land, plants grew sad and droopy and fertility was put on hold.

Luckily JARILO escaped and arrived home just in time for spring. Flowers bloomed, birds sung and everybody found themselves considerably more fertile. Cue a spring festival and an excuse for dressing up in foliage.

Now JARILO is stuck in a never-ending seasonal cycle of death and rebirth. Every spring he ushers in an orgy of sexy celebration when he arrives from his winter break on a white horse. Never mind shining armor — it would only get in the way. Shining amour is more like it.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Jarilo graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Jarilo movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Jarilo statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Jarilo. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
