HUALLALLO

Huarochirí Volcano God 🌋

Also known as Huallallo-Carhuincho, Huallallo-Caruincho

Volcanic Fire God

According to the Huarochirí, Huallallo the Fire God used to eat children — presumably well-grilled ones. These were sacrificed to him whenever it was felt necessary.

He got his come-uppance — or rather, go-downance — when he took on Pariacaca in a big battle. Now he’s almost extinct.. but you can never tell with volcanoes, can you?
