He is a very old deity from the ancient Paracas culture of the Andes. Little is known about him – not even his name. But his face got everywhere on their masks and pots.
He has huge staring eyes (hence: oculate).
He may be a Sun God or a Trophy God, but as his likeness appears on richly-embroidered blankets used to wrap the dead, he’s probably into Death and Mummification too.
