NOMMOAlso known as NUMMO
Mysterious multiplying God Twins
They were born from AMMA's prodigious cosmic egg (second yolk on the right) and managed to get into his Godly good books by protecting his daughter YASIGI from the ravages of her brother YURUGU. Unfortunately this wasn't quite heroic enough to save one of them from being sacrificed to save the Earth. But the other NOMMO, using the latest genetic modification techniques, managed to multiply and divide at the same time, splitting from half a God into four pairs of demi-semi-divine twins. These enlightened spirits were sent down to Earth to become the original ancestors of the Dogon people.
The Dogon people's startling knowledge of esoteric astronomy has led some people to claim they must have been educated in the distant past by reptilian extra-terrestrials from Sirius. Godchecker can exclusively reveal that this theory is rubbish. But mysteries remain. What do the Dogon people have to do with the Dog Star? Why is their name an anagram of 'No Gods'?
