If a dead person isn’t buried properly with all the right rites, their spirit will be unable to rest and will seek solace inside the body of a new-born child. Possession by a spirit is obviously a very bad thing and can cause a lifetime of trouble.
Someone afflicted with an Obambou will suffer multitudes of distressing symptoms. Insanity. Weird behavior. Anti-social tendencies. Dribbling and jerking. If that sounds like anyone you know, don’t panic. It could just be a phase they’re going through.
Luckily there is a cure. Obambou spirits can be repulsed by loud noises such as drums, shouting and gunshots. They also hate the sound of bees in flight. So just tell them to bzzzzzzzzzz off.
