QAMATA
Also known as QAMTA, QUAMTA

Vague and Blurry Creator God of the Xhosa

The son of THIXO, he's the top God of the Xhosa people somewhere in the eastern cape of South Africa.

There is not much to say about him; the Xhosa don't trouble about his godly attributes and he doesn't seem inclined to reveal anything. QAMATA worshippers are basically worshipping a giant blurry question mark. Nobody knows anything about him and nobody really cares either. What a wonderful contrast to the arguments and schisms of other religions we could mention.

So if you're looking for a decent omnipotent deity but aren't too fussy about the details, QAMATA could be the one for you. Just drop a pebble on one of the many sacred piles dotted around and he's yours. Maybe. Nobody knows for sure. Particularly not the Xhosa.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Qamata graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Qamata movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Qamata statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Qamata. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
