QAMATAAlso known as QAMTA, QUAMTA
Vague and Blurry Creator God of the Xhosa
The son of THIXO, he's the top God of the Xhosa people somewhere in the eastern cape of South Africa. There is not much to say about him; the Xhosa don't trouble about his godly attributes and he doesn't seem inclined to reveal anything. QAMATA worshippers are basically worshipping a giant blurry question mark. Nobody knows anything about him and nobody really cares either. What a wonderful contrast to the arguments and schisms of other religions we could mention.
So if you're looking for a decent omnipotent deity but aren't too fussy about the details, QAMATA could be the one for you. Just drop a pebble on one of the many sacred piles dotted around and he's yours. Maybe. Nobody knows for sure. Particularly not the Xhosa.
