BAGADJIMBIRI

Australian Creator God

The Dingo Gods of Genetic Engineering

Do you know the Kimberley Karadjeris? Out North West? Never mind, let us introduce you to their double deity.

The ‘Bag’ Twins were two DREAMTIME brothers who appeared from nowhere in wild dog form. In fact they were two Dingo Gods with a thirst for knowledge and a touch of mad scientist about them.

Until they came along, the human race was androgynous, completely sexless — and terribly bored. So the Bag Bothers experimented with some do-it-yourself creation. They mated a toadstool with a fungus and produced the world’s first genetically-modified body parts.

After a few trials and tests, the experiment was deemed a success. Sex organs for everybody! Of course, mankind was terribly keen to try out their new parts. And bingo — or dingo — here we all are. There’s more to mushrooms than you might imagine.

Delighted with their work, the BAGADJIMBIRI Brothers rubbed their hands together and laughed. But like all mad scientists, the two enterprising dog gods met an untimely end and were unexpectedly murdered by a jealous cat spirit.

There is a final twist. Their mother DILGA drowned the assailant in her own milk and brought the brothers back to life. They soared into the sky and become cloudy water snakes. Or watery cloud snakes. Well, clouds, basically. If you look into the sky you may see them drifting around and keeping an eye on their test subjects. We hope they are not planning further experiments.
