MIMI

A picture showing the legend of MIMI taken from our Australian mythology archives. Illustration by Chas Saunders. Read the story below or search the index for more Australian Gods, Australian Goddesses, heroes, demons and monsters!

Careful where you tread in West Arnhem. The [MIMI] are very thin spindly little spirits that live in crevices.

It is best to warn them of your approach. If you tread on one, or if you harm a wallaby, they will attack. But they're mostly very personable and are always willing to teach the arts of dancing, singing and hunting.

The MIMI love nothing better than chasing emus, singing and dancing as they go. They are also fond of scratching stick figure portraits on rocks to mystify archeologists.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Mimi graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Mimi movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Mimi statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Mimi. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
