AZCATL

A picture showing the legend of AZCATL taken from our Aztec mythology archives. Illustration by Chas Saunders. Read the story below or search the index for more Aztec Gods, Aztec Goddesses, heroes, demons and monsters!

The amazing Red Ant that supplied the fuel power [QUETZALCOATL] needed to keep the human race going.

QUETZALCOATL came across him humping a kernel of maize bigger than himself with no trouble. After a little persuasion (involving intimidation) the ant was forced to reveal his secret store. Which was inside a grain mountain inside a mountain and contained no end of nutritious goodies and seeds.

This was the beginning of breakfast for the undernourished human race. We hope this makes you feel wiser when you tuck into your Cornflakes in the morning.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Azcatl graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Azcatl movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Azcatl statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Azcatl. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
