She’s a Loa of all those things as fertility, rainbows and snakes always seem to go together.
She’s also the consort of Damballah who is very lazy and just basks in the sun. Which is no bad thing as he coils round the whole world.
They are both fond of eggs and white chickens. Her Yoruba equivalent is Oshunmare.
