ANKHET

Egyptian River Goddess

Also known as ANUKET, ANKT

River Nile Goddess of water purification

ANKHET keeps the waters of the Nile clean with fresh fertilization. Consequently she’s a very important Goddess to the Egyptians. She’s also good on the defense — she carries a spear and doesn’t hesitate to make her point.

As far as family life is concerned, ANKHET is one corner of a love triangle involving her dad KHNUM and sister SATET. They’re known as the Triad of Elefantine, but it’s really more a m?nage ? trois.
