BA-PEF

Egyptian Terror God

A God of Woe and Dread

His name means ‘that soul’, which seems to be a euphemism for something unmentionably nasty.

According to the Pyramid Texts, he has a house ‘wherein is woe’, and doesn’t seem to have had many callers. This could be a good sign to put on a door plaque to deter doorstep salesmen.
