KIPU-TYTTO

Finnish Death Goddess

Also known as KIPU-TYTTÖ, KIPUTYTTÖ

Fin de Siècle Goddess of Death

Sister of KIVUTAR, VAMMATAR and LOVIATAR, she lives in TUONELA the local hell. Her name translates as ‘Pain Girl’. She is the Goddess of Illness and sings you to the final sleep.

She has a black pockmarked face and nine children with simple descriptive names like Gout, Ulcers and Scabies. I think we should stop there as I’m beginning to feel queasy.
