HYMENAEUS

Greek Marriage God

Also known as HYMENAIOS, HYMEN

God of Weddings and Getting Married

He’s in charge of the wedding procession, the marriage feast, and the little bits of confetti. You’d better pray to him it all goes well. (His brother PRIAPUS no doubt offers support for the night-time ceremony.)

Ironically for a God of Weddings, his parentage is subject to a degree of speculation. Was his dad APOLLO with one of the MUSES for a mum? Or was it DIONYSUS and APHRODITE?

He certainly has strong love lines from somewhere and is irresistibly handsome.
