COCOMAMA
Also known as COCAMAMA

Goddess of Health, Happiness and Recreational Drug-taking. But not the Goddess of Chocolate!

In fact, she was a flirty female who was cut in half by jealous lovers and subsequently transformed into the world's first coca plant. Men who managed to satisfy their woman's sexual needs were rewarded with a munch on the coca leaves afterwards. From which possibly springs the tradition of having a cigarette after sex.

Although the coca plant does contain a tiny amount of cocaine, it also contains many other nutrients and stimulants that are extremely good for you if you want to keep on the go without dangerous after-effects. (At least, according to this month's scientific reports — next month there'll be another with opposing views).

We could also mention a certain well-known brand of soft drink, but we don't want to get sued. If you live in Peru at a high altitude it is up to you. Coca leaves are not illegal as far as we know. Who needs chocolate?

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Cocomama graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Cocomama movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Cocomama statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Cocomama. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
