This is where the bottled-up Gods emerged after some unmentionable earlier disaster, probably caused by them in the first place.
According to legend, PACARIQTAMBO was a mysterious mountain cave located a few miles from Cuzco. The Inca ancestral deities emerged from their hiding place by crawling through a narrow hole into the light.
Accounts are very confused and conflicting as they were still Gods in shock. The twins PIGUERAO and APOCATEQUIL were there at the time but have always refused to comment. There was no Inca Echo reporter on hand at the time and there is nothing that can be verified.
Interestingly, ‘Pacariqtambo’ can be translated as ‘Inn of Birth’ or ‘Inn of Emergence’. If the Gods were merely staying at an inn, that puts a whole difference twist on the subject. Did they leave any reviews on TripAdvisor? (“A wonderful place to relax. We could hardly bear to crawl away. Will definitely return in a few hundred years.” – Apocatequil)
