NANDI
Also known as NANDIN, NANDISA

SHIVA's pet white Bull God

He is SHIVA's right-hand bovine and stands guarding him in temple situations.

Of course, being a bull, there is a fertility connection. That explains why SHIVA acolytes need to touch his testicles before entering.

If you're thinking of upgrading your home's front door, bull's balls might make an interesting alternative to doorbells or lions-head doorknockers.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Nandi graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Nandi movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Nandi statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Nandi. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
