AH-CILIZ

Mayan Eclipse God

Slightly odd God of Eclipses

Although everyone knows that eclipses are caused by a supernatural being eating the sun, in Mayan mythology there’s a twist.

AH-CILIZ is actually a servant of the Sun who waits upon him at table. Why he should occasionally take it upon himself to devour his master is unclear. Pay and conditions not good enough? They should try for arbitration.
