BALAMS

Jaguar Spirits of Security and Night Protection

They usually go around in fives. When they find a village with ACANTUNS set up, they creep in and sit on them to keep guard, one at each corner of the village. Much more user-friendly than CCTV.

Although he's the smallest, the fifth is the most powerful. He stands in the center of the village to coordinate the team's security response. Any evil spirit or nasty demon is immediately dealt with while the villagers sleep soundly in their beds.

'Balam' is the Mayan word for Jaguar — a very sacred animal held in great awe. They were deified and idolized all over the place.

We are often asked about merchandise. Can we supply the latest Balams graphic novel, book or comic? Not to mention role-playing games (RPG), video games, Balams movies on DVD, BluRay and so on. To purchase such goodies we suggest you search for a dedicated mythology-based online store - or try Amazon, Ebay or other reputable websites. We offer a wide range of our own merchandise in our online GodShop, but we don't currently sell third party items. Yet!

Visitors often email us asking about Balams statues, sculptures or carved figurines of Balams. We regret we cannot assist with identifying such items.
